Learn the fundamentals of using Plone effectively as a Content Management System. This basic course is for anyone interested in getting a fast jump start into the world of Plone.

We will be starting with the basics but will move into more advanced topics at a fast pace.


Important: This training will primarily cover Plone 2.5.x but will make references at times to changes and differences in Plone 3.0.x.

Instructor: Richard Amerman
Richard has been involved in training and speaking for most of his life. He was originally on course towards an eduction degree but, as happens to many of us, was waylaid by technology. He has spent time as a Hang Gliding instructor, taught first aid, and CPR as well as various music related topics. In the past 13 years he has spoken and taught on technology topics throughout the Northwest. He now focuses on Plone and Asterisk. He spoke at the first Plone conference, helped organized the pre-conference trainings at the 2006 conference and has been presenting on Plone for the last 5 years.

This class may sell out so early registration is encouraged. If the training does sell out you can still fill out a registration. This will put you automatically on a waiting list in case there are any cancellations. Those who have registered for the waiting list will be offered canceled seats based on the the order they were added to the waiting list.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations before February 22nd receive a 90% refund

Cancellations between February 22 - 29 receive a 50% refund

Cancellations after February 29th receive no refund


Requirements

There are no specific requirements for this training other than curiosity. General experience with web technologies.

You will need to bring your own computer, ideally a laptop with Wi-Fi, to the training. You should be very familiar with this computer to limit issues during the training.
