Training Options
One on One Mentoring
For many this is an excellent opportunity to get the most out of your time and money. We work one on one with you in a combination of training, tutoring, and consulting to accelerate your Plone capabilities often in the context of a real world project. We often start a session by analyzing your use cases and sketching out any possible custom types and/or workflows using UML diagrams. These diagrams can then be used to directly generate installable code using a Plone product called ArchGenXML with a single step. A mentoring session can be as short as 30min or as long as needed, schedule permitting. It is also possible to purchase bulk mentoring hours in advance at a discount.
Online Trainings
These trainings, while no replacement for classroom time, allows those unable to travel to a classroom training the opportunity to gain valuable training with limited tax on their time. The lower risks involved in these trainings also allow us to have a much lower minimum class size making it easier for us to avoid cancellation of a session do to limited enrollment.
Low Cost Public Trainings
These trainings will require a minimum size to keep the cost down and a max size of about 40 students. They are intended to be open to the public with a minimum size of around 30. We are still determining final costs, but we intend on trying to keep the Low Cost Public Trainings under $200 per training day. This is a huge cost savings over most trainings. We also often offer a large discount to students and non-profits on some of our trainings, see the individual training for details.
Sponsored Trainings
Sponsoring a training can be a way to help the community by enabling a training that may not happen otherwise. This is also a good way to have some measure of control over where the training happens, what the training covers, and what the max size of the participants will be. By reducing the max size (normally around 40) you enable the trainer to spend more time with each individual and respond more directly to the needs of the class. By sponsoring a training you also gain exposure as we will publicly acknowledge your sponsorship in all key correspondence, on the website, and on any printed materials.
Private Trainings
By having a private training you maintain even further control over class size, timing, what the training covers. We can work with you to design a custom training as required, taking a look at how you are or plan to use Plone to determine what skills and topics would be a best fit.
